How To Pray

Psalm 145:18

"God’s there, listening for all who pray,

for all who pray and mean it."

This verse is pretty self explanatory. God will always be there for those who can be candid and truthful when they talk to Him.

Philippians 4:6-7

"Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."

Prayer and Christ is our replacement for worry. So when you start to worry or become afraid turn to God and pray and trust in Him.

Luke 18:1

"Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope. He used this story to teach them:"

This passage continues to tell a story about praying. So I would highly suggest looking into that passage. But in the mean time these verses are powerful enough. This verse really shows us that Jesus cares enough about His followers to teach them and be an example of how to pray.

1 John 1:9

"But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done."

We just need to confess. We don't deserve or redeem God's grace. He gives it out generously. All we must do is confess, simple enough.

Colossians 4:2

"Never stop praying. Be ready for anything by praying and being thankful."

Again pretty self explanatory. Always be praying to The Lord to be ready for anything in your life.
