Bible Quickies: Love

Hey y'all!
So I've decided to start a new series on my blog. It's gonna be a quick bible study (hence the name.) A few weeks ago in school we were assigned to create a sermon over any topic you want. Me and my partners chose love. Now don't get me wrong it was a horrible project because you had to present it and it had to be at least 8 min long. This is just some of the main topics and verses we used. Enjoy!

1.We Should Love Everyone....

Now "everyone" includes everyone. The boy who makes fun of you everyday, all the way to the sweetest kindest person you know. Jesus was almost never seen with the "cool" people. He was seen with tax collectors, and adulterers. God calls us to love and care for everyone we meet and not meet.

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their
tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
-James 1:26

2. Love Is The Most Important Virtue....

Think about it. If we loved everyone we wouldn't punch them or tell a lie about them. Love controls all good decisions. If we have love in our heart we wouldn't want to lie to someone we love, we wouldn't want to cheat off someone's test. Our hearts, if they are truly good, should be filled with love and kindness.

But if a person isn't loving and kind, it shows that he doesn't know God - for God is love.
-1 John 4:8

3. God Is Love

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward
those who fear Him.
-Psalm 103:11

God shows us even in daily rituals that He is love. This shows Gods love for us. The distance that the earth is from heaven, is equivalent to the love that God has to those who fear him.

So that's it! I hope y'all enjoyed this "Bible Quickies" and leave any suggestions in the comments. I love y'all and thanks for your support each and everyday! I hope y'all have a fantastic day!
